Regine and John - Pimhill Barn, Shrewsbury April 2019

Regine and John - Pimhill Barn, Shrewsbury April 2019

Regine and John approached me in a state of panic!! They had been planning their wedding for a while and everything was in place, including the priest to officiate at the wedding.

The wedding was in April and two weeks before the wedding day the priest had to cancel the ceremony because he had double booked himself - it was the Easter period and also had meetings to prepare and give (disaster for the couple)

However, I was available on the date of their wedding and wanted to meet up with them to find out more about the couple, and go through the questionnaire with them - the wedding was in 14 days time!!

This was my first wedding ceremony after completing my training from the Fellowship of Professional Celebrants. Was I nervous? Surprisingly not . . .  I have put this down to my going over and over the script every day. But I will say this - It wasn't until the Bride, Regine, started to walk down the aisle that I realised what an honour it was to conduct such an important and that this was not the time to mess an important event up.

I enjoyed every moment of this wedding ceremony, even the handfasting ceremony went really well . . . . I was so happy that my first wedding ceremony went well and that it was with such an awesome bride and groom. Thank you Regine and John and congratulations to you both.

My testimonial from this lovely couple was amazing:

"Definitely 100% recommend Tim if you're looking for a celebrant. We contacted him after the priest who was meant to marry us cancelled less than 2 weeks before our wedding. Tim has gone above and beyond to accommodate us in such a short notice. He has conducted our ceremony very well and adapted it to exactly how we wanted our ceremony to be. In the end we were glad that our Priest cancelled and that we were able to have a ceremony that suited our personalities best"
